“If the only prayer you say in your life is ‘thank you,’ that would suffice.” – Meister
Gratitude means thankfulness, counting your blessings, noticing simple pleasures,
and acknowledging everything that you receive. It means learning to live your life
as if everything were a miracle, and being aware on a continuous basis of how much
you’ve been given. Gratitude shifts your focus from what your life lacks to the abundance
that is already present. Giving thanks makes people happier and more resilient, it
strengthens relationships, it improves health, and it reduces stress.
Join us for “An Attitude of Gratitude”, the workshop.
At this very practical and interactive workshop, Jane Elliott will assist you to
appreciate the things in your life that you should be grateful for, and give you
concrete ways to express this gratitude. You will create a gratitude journal, learn
how to do a gratitude meditation, learn gratitude affirmations and make gratitude
oil amongst other activities.
The workshop will take place on Saturday 21 July 2012 at Saxonwold Primary, and costs
R200. We will start at 11h00 and will finish at about 14h00. Please wear comfortable
clothing and bring a plate of eats to share, and anything you would like to drink
other than tea, coffee or water.
